Avara Basic

Alarm for motorhomes and caravans

Avara Basic is a complete alarm package for motorhomes and caravans.
The package has all the functions you would expect for a safe trip, overnight, parking and storage. Smart functions and sensors work together to "understand" what is happening, ensuring greater security and far fewer false alarms than other alarm systems.

The night alarm is automatically switched off when it detects with the help of all the detectors that you are on your way out and that there is no question of a burglary. If you start driving and have forgotten to turn off the night alarm, it automatically shuts off.

"Always-on " - the most important functions of the system smoke detector, CO and propane gas detector are always on and cannot be turned off.

Avara Smart Night Alarm
For extra protection at night, turn on the night alarm by pressing the lid on the main unit. An internal alarm is then activated if external movement is detected and/or one of the intrusion detectors is triggered. The exterior motion detectors will automatically turn on an outdoor light, but will not give an indoor alarm until it is confirmed that there is activity against the wall. People passing by will therefore not trigger an alarm. If the alarm is triggered by cooking or similar, you can "hush" the alarm by pressing the lid of the main unit, which then goes into a 10-minute pause.

The intruder alarm is activated by means of a code chip. The alarm can be triggered by the intrusion detectors or by the interior motion detector on the main unit. The installed siren gives a loud warning.
When the car or trailer is unoccupied or in storage, the system goes into power saving mode. The propane gas detector can therefore be connected directly to the caravan battery without the risk of draining it. All other units run on their own batteries for up to 5 years.

The system monitors that all detectors work and have fresh batteries. If a detector falls out or receives a low battery, the main unit informs.

If you are technically skilled, you can install Avara Basic yourself. If you are unsure, we recommend that you ask your dealer to install the alarm.

Later upgrade
If you later want to be able to remotely control your alarm you can upgrade by purchasing a modem as an optional extra (subscription). This gives you the same functions as in Avara Basic Plus. If you want continuous moisture monitoring, you can retrofit Avara Moist moisture sensors (requires Avara modem).

External detector

Exterior detectors alert you to unwanted guests outside in Night Alarm mode. The detectors are mounted high up on the exterior wall on each side of the motorhome/caravan so that they cover all doors.

The detectors contain a motion detector that detects movement within approx. 1 - 1.5 meters from the wall and approx. 3 meters to each side. LED light turns on in the event of movement. Two exterior detectors are included in the basic package, and more can be ordered if required, for example for long cars/vehicles.

The detector can also be used to monitor bicycle racks (night alarm). The detectors have an internal battery with a long life expectancy.

Propane gas detector

The propane gas detector should be connected to a constant 12V power supply and mounted down by the floor (5-15 cm above the floor). The detector does not turn off when the alarm is deactivated, but is always on for added security. The device has a power-saving mode that ensures that the battery is not drained when the motorhome/caravan is not in use. You can also connect a backup battery if you remove the main battery during storage.

Siren controller

The siren driver is the control unit and power source for the external siren that is triggered in the event of a break-in. It contains AA batteries and should therefore never be connected to an external power source.

The siren driver is installed concealed together with the siren, preferably indoors - alternatively in the engine compartment of motorhomes.
