False alarms can be a major annoyance for both you, the owner of the alarm, and those in the vicinity. Avara alarms are designed specifically to reduce false alarms - while ensuring the safety of your motorhome or caravan.

There are often three typical reasons why false alarms occur:

• Forgetting to turn off your night alarm
• That the gas alarm is triggered due to harmless amounts of gas
• That the "narcotic gas detector" reacts to something that does not cause actual danger

False alarms are annoying for both you and those around you, but they also pose a security risk. If you experience a lot of false alarms, you may end up turning off the entire alarm system for good.

Avara's smart detectors

Avara alarms are equipped with several smart features. Our alarms have detectors that work together and are "smart" enough to automatically turn off the night alarm when you walk out the door in the morning. This prevents you from experiencing frequent false alarms.

To avoid false alarms from the propane gas detector, the system first assesses whether there is an actual leak or just a short-term, accidental release of gas, for example from hairspray. When gas is detected in the room, the detector will flash red. However, the actual alarm is not triggered until the gas has been present continuously for one minute, as is the case with a real propane gas leak.
