Two of the big specters for motorhome and caravan users are CO gas and fire. There are several solutions for detecting both CO and fire, but several of these depend on the alarm being activated by the user, especially when it concerns CO gas.
At Avara, we wanted a safer and better solution for this. Important elements such as CO detectors and smoke detectors are always on. These are detectors that cannot be turned off, as they are too important to be allowed to forget to activate them.
With the Avara alarm system, you are therefore always protected .
CO gas – the invisible danger
CO gas is deadly poisonous. It is odorless and tasteless, and it is invisible. CO gas results from incomplete combustion. Most motorhome and caravan users know this. Unfortunately, we still read from time to time in the media about tragic accidents as a result of CO poisoning.
Safeguarding yourself against CO poisoning is easy. All you need is a CO detector connected to an alarm system. There are several types of detectors on the market, but unfortunately some of these are designed so that it requires you to actively turn on the alarm yourself. This means that you are dependent on this being remembered, which should be unnecessary.
In the main unit of the Avara alarm system there is a CO sensor. This is always on and cannot be turned off. We have thus eliminated the human factor, and thus created a safer alarm.
Fire - early warning is essential
In addition to the CO detector, an optical smoke detector is also installed in the main unit. Both of these are used for warning of fire.
If a fire starts in a motorhome or caravan, the time factor is essential. By using both a CO detector and an optical smoke detector, it is ensured that the warning comes as early as possible. If there is smoke, the optical detector will react first, but if there is a smoldering fire developing, the CO sensor will trip first.
In this way, we ensure the earliest possible notification in the event of a fire, to protect both life and valuables.
